This valley was formed by the collapse of a limestone cave over hundreds of thousands of years ago. Archeological excavations and investigations are currently underway. There is one cave that could have been a residence of the Minatogawa people, a prehistoric people of Okinawa. At the entrance to the Valley of Gangala is Cave Cafe, set in a natural limestone cave, which groups can reserve for parties or live performances.
